Instructions for classes/webinars in Wimba

Prior to the Event

  1. Please run the Setup Wizard on your PC:  http://67.202.209.252/wizard/launcher.cgi?wc=hm
    (please run prior to training.  Let Peter Bromberg (bromberg[at]sjrlc.org) know if you have any issues)
     
  2. Audiovisual:  
    1. You will need either a pc with microphone and speakers/headphones OR a headset with microphone.   Phone access is also available if we need it, but let's try using the Voice Over IP (VOIP) instead.  If you run the setup wizard you should be able to confirm that voice/sound is working.

Logging in for the event (please log in 5-10 minutes early)

  1. Login URL: http://67.202.209.252/launcher.cgi?room=sjrlc_classroom
    1. Room ID will be automatically pasted in.  (if not, enter room id sjrlc_classroom)
    2. Enter your name (first and last).
    3. Press enter
    4. (Note: If you are prompted to choose between entering as participant or presenter, please enter as "participant" and double-check that you have allowed popups on your computer.) 
       
  2. Audio Wimba offers both a Voice over IP (VOIP) option and a telephone option (toll charges apply)
     
    1. Voice Over IP (VOIP) You can either use:
      1. A headset with earphones and microphone (recommended) or
      2. Microphone and speakers connected to your computer or
      3. Headphones or Speakers w/o microphone (this will allow you to listen to the workshop, but not speak.  You will still be able to post questions in chat.
