  • What libraries can learn from bookstores: Applying bookstore design to public libraries.  Bookstore owners and managers have spent much time and money experimenting how to entice customers into their stores and help them select and buy books. (This Web page supports a presentation for the Public Library Section of the Kansas Library Association at Hesston, Kansas on September 11, 2003 by Chris Rippel, Central Kansas Library System, Great Bend, Kansas. )

  • Creative Arts Inc.:  Consultants/Designers who specialize in the "Art and Science of Visual Presentation."  Check out their portfolio of libraries they have worked with.  Wow!  Thanks to Alice Sneary over at It's All Good  for mentioning their uber-cool booth at PLA.
