SPICE:  Customized "Training with Training to Go"

SPICE offers you customized on-site training on topics that are important to you. SJRLC will continue to schedule classes and workshops at convenient locations across South Jersey on a variety of topics.

If you have a training need, and would like us to arrange for a customized class at your location, let us know! We can work with you to schedule a workshop that meets your needs.

Your library can...

  • Select the classes to best meet your library staff training needs.
Schedule these classes on dates and at times convenient for your staff.

  • Pre-reserve up to 80% of all the spaces in the class for your library/system staff.

  • Pay SJRLC's low per-person cost for all staff registered. SJRLC's heavily subsidizes these classes so you save significantly over commercial training rates. Generally, our 3-hour classes cost $25 per person and 6-hour classes cost $50.

What kinds of staff training classes are available?

Technology Classes

  • MS Office Applications (Access, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.)

  • PC Basics, PC Troubleshooting

  • Webpage Development Classes (HTML, JavaScripting, CSS, etc)

What does my library need to do to participate?

Contact Peter Bromberg, at SJRLC, 856-346-1222, and let him know what class you are interested in having. Peter will work with you to schedule a class a date and location convenient to you.

What SJRLC agrees to do...

  • Confirm all arrangements with your library

  • Take your pre-registration staff list

  • Contract with a trainer and advertise the session on our training schedule

  • Handle registration and provide all training materials, professional development certificates, and evaluation forms for learners at each class.

In order to run, a class needs a final minimum registration of six participants (including your library staff and others).

If you have any questions, or would like to discuss any special training needs for your library staff, please feel free to contact SJRLC at 856-346-1222.
